Available Opportunities

We are seeking one or more Geological or Civil Engineering Co-op Students to join our Canadian Hydro Group in our North Vancouver office for an 8-month work term beginning January 2027.

This is an excellent temporary opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside industry-leading engineers and hydrogeologists on technically challenging and impactful projects. Students will be exposed to a broad range of real-world applications, including:

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Pit slope depressurization and mine dewatering design for operating and proposed mines

  • Groundwater components of environmental impact assessments

  • Assessment and mitigation of environmental impacts related to mining operations

  • Groundwater studies supporting water supply, waste disposal, and regulatory requirements

  • Well design and construction

  • Regional aquifer characterization and assessment

  • Construction dewatering for civil and industrial infrastructure projects

  • Development and implementation of groundwater monitoring programs for mines, landfills, and contaminated sites

Required Qualifications

We are looking for motivated, curious, and hardworking students who are eager to learn and contribute. Strong candidates will demonstrate:

  • A willingness to take on challenging and meaningful assignments

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Interest in fieldwork and potential travel opportunities

  • A valid driver’s license
