Job Duties

  1. Perform hydrogeologic project management.

  2. Develop conceptual models for large-scale mining operations, including open-pit mines, across all production stages from pre-feasibility to closure.

  3. Utilize industry standard numerical modeling codes.

  4. Construction, calibration, and implementation of three-dimensional (3D) groundwater flow models.

  5. High level of proficiency in CAD, GIS, and 3D (e.g., Leapfrog) software for mine related models, surface and underground mine design and resource assessment.

  6. Perform Hydrogeologic Data Quality Analysis/Quality Control (QA/QC) and, hydraulic test analysis.

  7. Develop site-wide water balance models and perform predictive modeling for water management.

  8. Assist in interpreting model results and developing alternative solutions for the client to meet dewatering and depressurization requirements for large open pit mine operations.

  9. Coordinate and train junior staff in the use of Leapfrog software, model construction, data analysis, GIS/CAD map interpretation, and project workflows.

Minimum Education:

Master's degree in Hydrology.

Experience:

2 years' experience as Hydrogeologist

Travel Requirement:

Travel to anticipated and unanticipated worksites throughout and within the United States up to 10% of time.

Telecommuter Benefit:

Work from any location in USA up to 25% of time.
